Description
Choroboros by Kaizen DSP is out of beta, with five prebuilt chorus engines and 17 supplied sound cores. In the current version 1.0.5, the Free edition provides the Green and Purple engines without a time limit, signup, payment card, or licence key.
The two free engines use the same focused Rate, Depth, Offset, Width, Color, Mix, and HQ controls presented in the current release. Producers can use them for modulation, movement, width, and more experimental chorus treatment without activating a trial or purchasing the Full edition.
The one-time US$49.99 Full licence includes lifetime updates and unlocks Blue, Red, Black, all five prebuilt engines, engine import and export, and Create. Create lets users build their own engines and artwork, combining the ten cores used by the prebuilt engines with seven additional supplied cores for 17 in total.
The current macOS release includes universal VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats, while Windows is available as a signed x64 VST3 installer with a manual ZIP alternative. Linux, Windows AAX, and a Windows standalone application are not currently released; the earlier GPLv3 public beta and its Dev Panel are historical and remain subject to their original terms.
