Description
Garage Foley is a collection of 100 royalty-free percussion hits and foley sound effects from 99Sounds, recorded by sound designer Tyler Bajsa. Every sample was captured in a real garage using a Zoom H1 handheld recorder mounted on a rubber-padded tripod, preserving the natural room ambience in each hit.
The sounds come from striking, scraping, and shaking everyday objects and tools found around the space. Minimal processing was applied — just normalization and slight release trimming — so the recordings retain their raw, organic timbre without any EQ, filtering, or added effects.
That unpolished character makes these samples especially useful for layering over programmed drum tracks. Stacking a foley hit on top of a snare or kick adds texture and realism that sample-based drums often lack.
Beyond beat-making, the library works well as background sound effects for film, video, and game audio projects. The included NKI patch for Native Instruments Kontakt 5 maps all 100 samples across the keyboard starting at C-1, with a low-pass filter and ADSR envelope for quick playback.
All files are delivered in 32-bit stereo WAV format at 44.1 kHz, with a total download size of 40.2 MB (56.5 MB on disk). The entire collection is royalty-free for commercial use in music, video, and multimedia productions.

How were the Garage Foley samples recorded?
Sound designer Tyler Bajsa recorded all samples in a garage using a Zoom H1 handheld recorder mounted on a rubber-padded tripod. The recordings capture various objects and tools being struck, scraped, and shaken with natural room reverb.
What is the best way to use foley samples in a beat?
Layer foley hits on top of your programmed drums to add organic texture. Stack a metallic scrape over a hi-hat or a wooden thud behind a kick to give the groove a more human, lived-in feel that pure sample-based drums lack.
