Key Features

  • Pairs Orbit's eight-algorithm reverb engine with Pulsar's five-media delay engine so space and repeats can be shaped as complementary effects.
  • Orbit covers Room, Chamber, Hall, Plate, Space, Cloud, Cosmic, and Clean algorithms, with tube saturation and shimmer for more colored tails.
  • Orbit adds freeze, infinite hold, gate, reverse, sidechain ducking, and tempo sync for sustained textures and rhythmic transitions.
  • Pulsar moves between digital, tape, tube, analog bucket-brigade, and lo-fi echo characters, with five routings including multi-head tape echo.
  • A mouse-controlled grain field scatters Pulsar's repeats in pitch and time, while reverse, freeze, loop filtering, ducking, tap tempo, and 120% feedback expand its sound-design range.
  • Both effects include 41 factory presets and ship together in the current MYR installer for macOS and Windows.

Description

MYR Orbit & Pulsar is a paired reverb-and-delay release from Goeran Meyer: Orbit builds space with eight reverb algorithms, while Pulsar shapes repeats through five echo media. The two effects share a dark, hands-on interface and are intended as creative spatial tools rather than a conventional utility bundle.

Orbit moves from rooms, chambers, halls, and plates into cloud, cosmic, and clean spaces, with tube saturation, shimmer, freeze, gate, reverse, ducking, and tempo-sync controls. Pulsar covers digital, tape, tube, analog, and lo-fi echoes, then adds five routings, a mouse-controlled grain field, feedback up to 120%, reverse, freeze, loop filtering, ducking, and tap tempo.

Each plug-in includes 41 factory presets, giving producers quick starting points for widening vocals, placing drums, building transitions, or turning synth parts into longer atmospheric layers. The shared package makes it practical to combine a tempo-aware echo with a contrasting reverb treatment without leaving the MYR toolset.

MYR supplies the pair as VST3 for Windows 10 or newer and as VST3 plus Audio Unit for macOS 11 or newer, with Universal Apple Silicon and Intel support on macOS. The official page says the tools stay free for private and commercial use with no licence key or trial, while its email form sends the current macOS or Windows package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Orbit and Pulsar separate plug-ins?

Yes. Orbit is the reverb and Pulsar is the delay, but MYR distributes both in the same current package. The installer lets you choose the plug-ins you want, and the download also includes their presets and tutorial.

What kinds of reverb can Orbit create?

Orbit offers Room, Chamber, Hall, Plate, Space, Cloud, Cosmic, and Clean algorithms. Its advanced controls add saturation, shimmer, freeze or infinite hold, reverse, gating, ducking, and host tempo sync.

How does Pulsar differ from a standard delay?

Pulsar switches among digital, tape, tube, analog, and lo-fi echo media, with five routings including a multi-head tape option. Its grain field can scatter repeats in pitch and time, and the delay also provides reverse, freeze, loop filtering, ducking, and tap tempo.

How do I get the MYR plug-ins?

Use MYR's official combined product page and submit your email address to receive the current download. MYR says the address is used for delivery and occasional plug-in news, and the page provides the current package for macOS or Windows.
