Description

Sublime by Meat Beats is a monophonic bass synthesizer designed for house, garage and other electronic styles. Its 125 factory presets span clean sub tones, punchy house basses, garage sounds and more distorted textures.

Every patch starts with a sine wave that can be shaped and folded, with Punch and Drop controls for changing the character of a note. A four-pole low-pass filter handles the main tone, while a separate Growl peak filter follows the played note.

A tempo-synced LFO can move the filter cutoff using three shapes and a fade-in control. The output section adds tape or vinyl dirt, chorus, low EQ, pumping and distortion, giving producers several ways to finish a bass sound within the instrument.

The presets are organized into five banks, from five Basic Tones for building your own patches to collections for classic house, garage and heavier bass sounds. Since Sublime plays one note at a time, it is suited to basslines rather than chords.

Meat Beats provides 64-bit VST3 for Windows and VST3 and AU for macOS. The developer lists Windows 10 or 11 and macOS 10.14 or later, with Intel and Apple Silicon support.
