Description
SweepDelay by SaschArt is a creative delay plugin built around a pair of frequency-modulated resonant filters. Each stereo channel gets its own lowpass and highpass filter with independent controls for frequency, depth, and modulation rate, producing evolving, harmonically rich echoes that go well beyond what a standard delay can deliver.
The upper section of the interface handles core delay parameters including delay rate, pan width, feedback, and dry/wet balance. Delay rate supports host sync with normal, dotted, and triplet subdivisions, giving you tight rhythmic control over every repeat.
Filter modulation can be linked to pan width, feedback, dry mix, or wet mix, creating complex interactions between the delay tails and the stereo field. Adjusting resonance on either filter amplifies the cutoff frequency, adding a pronounced, sweeping character to each echo.
The ping pong mode routes echoes between left and right channels with its own set of enhanced timing options including normal, triplet, and dotted periods between sides. Combined with the dual filter modulation, ping pong mode can produce wide, animated stereo delays with shifting tonal content.
SweepDelay is extremely light on CPU resources and includes an auto-bypass feature that mutes processing when no input signal is detected. The download size is under 2 MB, and setup is straightforward with provided installation instructions for both platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does SweepDelay differ from a standard delay plugin?
SweepDelay routes its delay signal through two frequency-modulated resonant filters, one per stereo channel. This means each echo is actively shaped by sweeping lowpass or highpass filters, producing evolving tonal movement rather than static repeats.
Can filter modulation be synced to other delay parameters?
Yes, filter modulation can be linked to pan width, feedback, dry mix, or wet mix. This creates complex interactions where the filter sweep behavior changes dynamically based on other delay settings, allowing for more expressive and unpredictable results.
Does SweepDelay support tempo-synced delay times?
SweepDelay supports host sync for delay rate with normal, dotted, and triplet note values. The ping pong mode also has its own set of timing options with normal, triplet, and dotted periods between left and right channels.
Is there a way to remove the Donate button from the interface?
The Donate Now button on the interface can be removed by making a minimum donation of 5 euros to SaschArt. After donating, you receive a key via email that unlocks a cleaner interface.
