Description

We've put together a UK Garage drum kit that captures the genre's sound.

This sample pack has many drum sounds that add authenticity to your UKG tracks.

The kit includes one-shot samples like kicks, snares, hi-hats, percussions, and claps.

These samples fit well into your tracks and help create a professional sound.

You'll find 48 kicks, 38 snares, 16 claps, 28 hi-hats, 36 percussion sounds, and other samples in the pack.

We've also added 14 full drum loops, 16 claps, and 26 bass for inspiration.

All samples come in 24-bit/44.1 kHz WAV format for high-quality audio.

It's great for both new and experienced producers who want to add UKG flavor to their music.

The samples draw from the energy and rhythm of classic UK Garage.

This collection is a valuable addition to any producer's toolkit.

Tips

  • Start with kicks on the 1 and 3, then add shuffled snares on the 2 and 4. Use the one-shot samples to build this base. Try adding ghost notes and off-beat kicks for more complexity.
  • Work on the snares to get that UKG sound. Use your DAW's amp envelope to shorten them. Pitch both snares up a bit for a faster feel. You might want to filter the second snare to reduce its high frequencies.
  • Add swing to your drum pattern for the UKG groove. Begin with a swing setting around 65-70% on all beat elements. This creates the skippy feel of the genre. Try different swing values across two-bar patterns to make it more dynamic.
  • Use at least two different hi-hat samples from the kit in your pattern. Keep them short and crisp by adjusting the amp envelope. Consider pitching them up slightly. Place hi-hat hits between other drum elements to highlight the swing and create a more complex rhythm.
  • Use the percussion loops and one-shots to add texture to your drum pattern. Focus on the 'and' counts and the 4th beat of each bar. Try different combinations of percussion sounds to create unique grooves that work with your main drum pattern while keeping the UKG push-pull effect.
