VK-1 VIKING SYNTHESIZER

VK-1 Viking Synthesizer is a free virtual analog synthesizer plugin that authentically emulates the classic Moog Voyager hardware synthesizer. It is a monophonic synth with three continuously variable wave oscillators, two ladder filters with dual lowpass or highpass/lowpass configuration, a multi-wave LFO, and two modulation buses.

The plugin utilizes cutting-edge DSP technology to accurately reproduce the characteristics and nuances of the original Moog Voyager hardware:

VK-1 comes loaded with 228 factory presets spanning categories like bass, leads, electro-bass, FX, percussive sounds, and synthwave. 50 of the electro-bass and 50 of the synthwave presets were created by renowned sound designer eXode.

The user interface is well-designed, with knobs and sliders expanding during editing to avoid being obscured. The synth is logically divided into sections across six pages for quick navigation.

While not the most spectacular virtual analog, VK-1 is capable of producing great bass, lead, pad and FX sounds reminiscent of the Moog Voyager. The included presets, especially the synthwave category, showcase its potential.
