Description

Warrior by Noizefield is a wavetable synthesizer built for aggressive electronic music production. It targets genres like dubstep, drum and bass, hardstyle, rawstyle, techno, and industrial, delivering heavy, in-your-face tones straight out of the box.

The synth engine features three oscillators, two of which use wavetable synthesis while the third lets you draw custom waveforms by hand. A noise generator and eight-voice unison mode add further thickness and presence to patches.

Two multimode filters cover a wide tonal range with highpass, lowpass, bandpass, 303 acid, ladder, and vowel modes. A dedicated vowel filter adds a separate layer of formant-style shaping for vocal textures and talking bass sounds.

Modulation runs through a matrix with seven simultaneous routing slots, backed by three freely assignable AHDSR envelopes and three LFOs. This setup gives you enough control to create evolving leads, aggressive basses, and rhythmic sequences without menu diving.

The built-in effects suite includes chorus, reverb, bit crush, ensemble, and a fattener, alongside a four-band equalizer for quick tonal adjustments. Warrior ships with 32 production-ready EDM presets and two interface skins for light and dark workflows.

Sound quality sits above average for its class, with the main advantage being speed: you can get to usable aggressive sounds faster than in larger, more complex synthesizers. It pairs well with producers who need quick access to hard-hitting tones without deep sound design sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of filters does Warrior include?

Warrior has two multimode filters supporting highpass, lowpass, lowpass 2, bandpass, 303 acid, ladder, and vowel modes. There is also a separate dedicated vowel filter for formant-based vocal textures and talking bass sounds.

Can you create custom wavetables in Warrior?

Yes. While the first two oscillators use preset wavetables, the third oscillator lets you draw your own waveform shapes directly in the interface. This gives you a way to design unique timbres beyond the factory wavetable set.

How does Warrior compare to larger synths like Surge or Vital?

Warrior is more focused and streamlined than general-purpose synths like Surge or Vital. Its main advantage is speed — you can reach usable aggressive EDM sounds faster thanks to its genre-specific design. For deeper sound design and broader versatility, Surge or Vital offer more features.

Does Warrior include any built-in effects?

Yes, Warrior ships with a chorus, reverb, bit crush, ensemble, and fattener effect, plus a four-band equalizer. These cover the essentials for shaping and finalizing sounds without needing external processing.
