Description
TwoRuleFilter is a self-resonant Moog-type filter plugin for creating filtered glitch sounds.
It lets you control the filter cutoff frequency manually, by LFO, or by an envelope follower.
The plugin has a "scrambler" feature that randomly plays the filtered signal based on the selected beat, adding a rhythmic, choppy, and tempo-synced effect to the audio.
The mix knob allows users to blend the dry (input) and wet (filtered and bit-crushed) signals, while the volume knob sets the output level.
The bit crusher feature can produce a hard, gritty sound by reducing the bit depth from 16-bit to 1-bit.
The plugin's sensitivity control allows for smooth or rough changes to the filter cutoff frequency, providing parameter smoothing.
TwoRuleFilter is available for both macOS and Windows, supporting VST, VST3, and AU formats.
Tips
- Use the scrambler feature to add unexpected rhythmic elements to your tracks.
- Experiment with the bit crusher to create gritty, lo-fi sounds.
- Adjust the sensitivity control to achieve smooth transitions in your filter modulation.
- Combine manual, LFO, and envelope follower controls for dynamic and evolving filter effects.
- Utilize the mix knob to blend the original and processed signals for a balanced sound.
